Two Green Island men have been arrested following a five month investigation into "millions of dollars in fraudulent activity". Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple says 23 year old Davon Simms led a multi state crime ring, stealing thermostats and circuit breakers and reselling them. Simms and 43 year old Burlington Nieuenkirk are currently facing felony weapons and stolen property charges. Apple says they are working with multiple agencies and more charges will be filed. A search warrant executed on a Rivers Edge Apartment Thursday recovered three loaded firearms and over $37,000 in cash.
