A peaceful protest is being held in Glens Falls on Friday over the killing of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis.
Protesters gathered at City Park Friday afternoon where local leaders and members of the community spoke to the crowd calling for an end to racial inequality and the need for police reform.
The protesters marched to Crandall Park for more speeches and performances by local artists.
Black Lives Matter organizers have stressed the importance of remaining peaceful and participants will agree to a non-violence pledge. The rally will end at 4PM.
Social distancing and facial coverings are required.
