After being shut down for months to prevent the spread of coronavirus, malls across Upstate New York will finally have shoppers inside them today. But as you'd expect, the state has come up with some guidelines to keep everyone safe. Malls will need to make sure people stay six feet apart, establish designated delivery areas and have air filters installed to keep folks from being exposed to harmful germs. The number of employees and shoppers is also being capped at no more than half of a mall's maximum capacity.
Crossgates mall and Wilton Mall open Friday, while Colonie Center and Via Port Rotterdam reopen on Saturday.
