New York City is creating registration checkpoints at bridges and tunnels to better enforce the out of state quarantine rules. Mayor Bill de Blasio says the sheriff's office will have members at key entry points in the city to gather information from those out of state and remind them the quarantine is mandatory.

There are 35 states or territories with high coronavirus infection rates and residents from those states coming to New York must quarantine for 14 days.

They will complete travel health forms to help out the contact tracing efforts.
