A Capital Region attorney is one step closer to a new job and he has President Trump to thank. Ryan McAllister has been picked by Trump to be a U.S. District Court Judge for the Northern District of New York.
McAllister grew up in Cobleskill and graduated from Harvard Law School before later working as counsel to ex-New York Governor George Pataki. If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, McAllister would fill the spot left open by U.S. District Court Senior Judge Gary Sharpe.
