Starting on Monday, Mohonasen School District will be shifting to all remote learning for Kindergarten through 12th grade until further notice.
This comes after an adult at the High School has tested positive for COVID-19. Additionally, the district will be closed tomorrow to allow for the Department of Health to conduct further contact tracing. In a statement, the Superintendent says that a complicating factor of the situation is that the infected individual attended a lunch with almost all of the school's administrative team during one of the district's professional development days.
Out of an abundance of caution, the entire group will be quarantining for 14 days from the initial point of contact. A few teacher were also potentially exposed and are quarantining as well.
The release from the district gives no set date on when in-person learning will resume.
