A unique program through the Albany County District Attorney's office tries to help young people avoid criminal convictions through making positive changes in their lives. David Soares about which young offenders are eligible for the Clean Slate program, the changes and restitution they have to make, and the challenge they face in going before a panel of community leaders to get their cases dismissed. Soares also reflects on his own youth and talks about the power of mentorship.
