Two people were taken into custody after a shots fired incident in Albany Thursday night.

Police say they surrounded a building in the 200 block of First Street and arrested 26 year old Alkareem Leigh.

Police say they believe Leigh was the man who was responsible for a shots fired incident earlier in the night, and he initially refused to leave a building on First Street.

Police also arrested 21 year old Tatiana Laquire.

Police say the two were involved in a physical altercation with another woman, with Leigh firing at the woman but police say she wasn't shot.

Leigh is facing several charges, including criminal possession of a weapon. Laquire was charged with assault.

Both were scheduled to be arraigned in Albany today.
