SUNY students across New York will have to test negative for the coronavirus if they want to go home for Thanksgiving break.

The state's university system says they hope testing students before they go home will help prevent spreading the virus to towns and cities across New York and around the country. The system's 64 colleges and universities have been told to come up with plans to test 140,000 students by early November. Most of the schools will go all remote after Thanksgiving to prevent students from bringing the virus back to campus.
