It looks like Democrats are going to have to wait just a bit longer for a possible supermajority in the New York State Senate.
Right now, Republicans are on track to pick up four seats in that chamber. Wednesday Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins sent out a statement saying Election Day was a tough one for Democrats. The party was hoping to end up with a number of seats that would've given them the power to override any vetoes from Governor Cuomo.
