A settlement announced Thursday night between the City of Schenectady Police Department and Officer Brian Pommer.

Pommer, the police officer who applied a knee to neck hold to Yugeshwar Gaindarpersaud, the man charged with criminal mischief for allegedly slashing tires on a vehicle. After being stopped by Pommer, Gainderpersaud fled into a backyard and that's where the July incident happened. Pommer will be suspended from the Schenectady Police Department for six days without pay, and will also have to undergo additional field training for seven work days. One charge against Gainderpersaud was dropped, and the second charge, resisting arrest, will be dropped, if he stays out of trouble for six months.
