The Capital Region has set a new record in the ongoing fight against COVID-19.
There were 182 confirmed infections in the area's eight counties Monday, which is the highest total since the pandemic started. The previous mark of 147 was set all the way back in May. Several outbreaks are contributing to the increase and officials are still struggling to get them under control.
