Nurses rallied outside of Albany Med on Saturday ahead of this Tuesday's planned strike as contract negotiations continue with the New York State Nurses Association and Albany Med officials.
Nurses are pushing for better wages and more protection during the pandemic. Joan Laforest Golden is a nurse at Albany Med. She says there is not enough personal protective equipment in the hospital. Albany Medical Center released a statement, saying in part their supply of PPE is adequate and their focus remains the safety of all patients and colleagues.
