Certain Open Vehicle Windows Can Help Avoid COVID Transmission

Experts say opening certain car windows while driving can cut down on COVID transmission.

Researchers at Brown University said it's best for the driver to open the front seat window on the right side and for the back seat passenger to open the back-seat window on the left side. A senior author of the study said this creates an airflow that enters behind a driver, sweeps across the cabin behind the passenger, and then goes out the passenger-side front window. He added this helps to reduce cross-contamination between the driver and passenger.
