The growing number of coronavirus cases is forcing more schools to make a switch to remote learning.

Monday, East Greenbush, Schenectady and Watervliet schools all said students will be learning online until at least early January. Those districts have been dealing with staffing shortages because more people are being exposed to the virus. It was reported last week that since September, more than 1,000 staff members and students in area schools have tested positive for COVID-19.
