New York State is making a change to the quarantine period for people who have been exposed to COVID-19 but haven't tested positive.
Instead of having to isolate for two weeks, those people now only have to quarantine for 10 days. However, anyone who develops symptoms of the illness during that time period should call a doctor to see if they need to be tested. The new guidelines align with recommendations issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention earlier this month.
