Since Wednesday, there are 283 new positive cases of COVID in Albany County.
County Executive Dan McCoy says that puts the total number of cases to date to 13,215, but the five-day average for new daily positives has decreased to 239.4 from 242.8. There were 20 new hospitalizations overnight, and 163 residents currently hospitalized, of the 163, 19 are in ICU, up one from Wednesday. There was one COVID-related death to report since Wednesday, a man in his 90’s, 240 people have now died since the outbreak began.
