Governor Cuomo is praising hospitals statewide for speeding up the process of vaccinating people against COVID-19.
He says on Monday, hospitals were only giving out 10,000 shots a day, but that number has already surged to over 50,000 a day. The governor says he's still concerned about the amount of vaccine still needed to protect those most at risk of getting sick, such as health care workers and the elderly. So far, 430,000 of the 900,000 vaccine doses received by the state have been used.
