Albany City Hall will be closed Wednesday due to concerns over potentially violent protests at the State Capitol building nearby.
Mayor Kathy Sheehan says while there hasn't been any credible threat made against the city, closing City Hall is in the best interests of everyone's safety. People are also being asked to avoid the area Wednesday as a precaution. Anyone who sees anything suspicious is asked to call 911 immediately.
