Health officials and police in Schenectady County are urging people struggling with drug addiction to get help.
The request comes following eight overdoses in a 24-hour period that sent several people to the hospital. It's believed some of the overdoses may have been caused by tainted cocaine. Anyone who wants to get assistance can walk into the Schenectady police station on Liberty Street or the Ellis Hospital emergency room on Nott Street 24-hours day.
