Rotterdam police are urging folks to be aware of a scam involving emails that could put their personal information at risk.
The messages come from someone claiming to represent the town and they're asking for both drivers license numbers and social security numbers. Officials say the town would never ask anyone for that information by using an email. If you get a message like this, call police.
