Albany is officially getting a National Lacrosse League franchise, and fans will have the chance to name the team.
Currently known as Albany NLL, the team has signed a multi-year agreement to play home games at the Times Union Center in Albany. The franchise was formerly known as the New England Black Wolves and played at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. The NLL season will likely begin in December and teams are expected to play at least 18 games.
