The mother of a 12-year-old boy who was shot in Troy earlier this week says her son is paralyzed from the waist down.
Jona Rivera says her son M.J. Rivera was sweeping the floor inside of their home on O'Neil Street Monday when a bullet entered the residence and struck him in the back. Jona Rivera believes the people who pulled the trigger are involved in a dispute with her 23-year-old son Francisco Rivera. He's been arrested on a weapon charge but police haven't said if his case is connected to his brother's shooting.
