A famous giraffe has passed away.
April the Giraffe broke the internet in 2017 when people across the country followed her pregnancy at a New York zoo live on social media.
Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville livestreamed April's pregnancy with a "giraffe-cam." YouTube says on the day she gave birth, over one-point-two-million people were watching.
The zoo says April was euthanized recently after her arthritis worsened. Veterinarians said they did their best to make her comfortable, but her condition wasn't getting better.
April the Giraffe was 20-years-old.
