Starting Thursday, restaurants in Albany will be able to earn a bit more cash thanks to the return of expanded outdoor dining.
Under the program, businesses can set up tables on sidewalks which allows them to expand the number of people they can serve. Barricades will be set up near participating restaurants so pedestrians have a safe place where they can walk. In order to participate in the program, restaurants will have to apply for a permit and have the proper paperwork approved by the city.
