Longer Commute on Northway Expected After Overpass Damaged

A longer commute can be expected for a lot of people who drive on the Northway to reach their destination.

The state DOT says only two of the three southbound lanes near the Sitterly Road overpass are going to be open after the bridge was damaged Wednesday by a boom lift that was on the back of a trailer. The Northway southbound is currently open between Exits 10 and nine while trucks have to use a detour at Exit 10. There's no word yet on how long repairs to the bridge could take.
