Schenectady County Sheriff Dominic Dagostino has fired his son from the department after he was arrested for drunk driving.

An investigation revealed Sergeant Daniel Coppola's blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit when he was pulled over on Central Avenue in Colonie Monday night. The 26-year-old had worked in the agency's road patrol program for about three years. He previously lost his job with the Schenectady Police Department after pleading guilty to driving under the influence while off-duty.
