Albany police have released more information on a shooting that took the life of a 15-year-old girl.
Officials say Destiny Greene was with three people on Wilbur Street Monday night looking to complete a Facebook Marketplace transaction. But, the group ended up being involved in a confrontation, which led to multiple men opening fire towards the car they were in. Greene, who was a student at Shaker High, was rushed to Albany Memorial Hospital but later pronounced dead. So far, there have been nine homicides in Albany since the start of 2021.
