Schenectady police are urging residents to remain alert after a bear was spotted in the city's Woodlawn neighborhood.
The animal walked in several different areas Tuesday including Gifford Road, Colonial Avenue and Bradford Road. Eventually, it retreated into the woods of the Woodlawn Nature Preserve. Experts thinks the animal may be on the hunt for food and says anyone who sees the bear should call police or animal control immediately.
