New York Republicans are throwing their support behind Long Island Congressman Lee Zeldin in his bid to be the state's next governor.

On Monday, he received 85 % of the votes in a straw poll, making him the party's presumptive nominee. Former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino earned 5 % of the vote while Andrew Giuliani, who is the son of ex-New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, received no votes. Zeldin says his focus right now is talking to all voters about his plans to make life in the Empire State better for everyone.
