Crews have started the process of razing buildings damaged by a massive fire in Watervliet.
The first of three buildings on Broadway was taken down Wednesday with the other two expected to be demolished soon. Last month's blaze started after someone threw a cigarette onto a pet bed in the rear of one of the buildings. Two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion and one resident suffered smoke inhalation.
