Congresswoman Elise Stefanik says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is to blame for violent protests at the U.S. Capitol earlier this year.
The 21st District Republican said Tuesday that Capitol Police raised concerns ahead of the building being stormed January 6th, but claims Pelosi prioritized her political agenda over providing officers with the support and resources they needed. Thousands of angry protesters entered the Capitol in an attempt to prevent Congress from certifying President Biden's victory over former President Donald Trump. Several people were killed and since that day many of the protesters have been arrested.
