A man had to be rescued last night from the base of the Berkshire Spur bridge in Schodack. At about 5:20 Friday night a passing boater saw the man, who was standing on the center column, and picked him up. The man did not appear to have any major injuries, but he was taken to Albany Med to be checked out. No word on how or why he was there.
