A Troy man is under arrest after he fired a gun and barricaded himself in an apartment Saturday night. Police were called to the 8th Street apartment between Hoosick and Hutton Streets around 11pm. They say a 53 year old Bobby Whitaker shot at two other tenants in the building, though neither were hit. Troy police negotiated with Whitaker for about two hours, after which he surrendered. He's being charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment, both felonies.
