Members of the Assembly Judiciary Committee are expected to meet Monday to discuss their next steps in the ongoing impeachment investigation into Governor Cuomo.
Lawmakers have been looking into several issues, including the sexual harassment claims made against Cuomo and how his administration handled nursing home residents in the early days of the COVID-19 crisis. Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie says given the information released by the Attorney General's office Tuesday, the governor has lost the confidence of the Assembly Democratic Majority and can no longer remain in office. Heastie also promised to wrap up the impeachment investigation as soon as possible.
