On Thursday, Governor Hochul is expected to officially introduce the person who will fill the job she had until just a few days ago.
According to multiple reports, Hochul has chosen State Senator Brian Benjamin to be the next Lieutenant Governor. Hochul had to vacate the position earlier this week after she took over for former Governor Andrew Cuomo who resigned following allegations of sexual harassment. Benjamin is an African-American lawmaker from New York City and will help fulfill Governor Hochul's promise that she'll have a diverse administration.
