US Marshals arrested 27 year old Carlos Morales of Philadelphia on Friday morning. Police and Marshals surrounded the apartment building where Morales had been staying, along with a woman and her children. Morales attempted to escape by jumping out of a second floor window, but was caught. In a search of the apartment officials found cash, fentanyl and crack - all with a street value of over $20,000.
Morales apparently fled to Albany in October of 2020 after shooting and killing 24 year old Thomas Peterson in Philadelphia. The shooting was caught on surveillance camera and showed who police believe is Morales gunning down Peterson.
