Current Dutchess County Executive Mark Molinaro has his eyes on a brand-new job on Capitol Hill.
The Republican has officially launched his bid to unseat Democrat Antonio Delgado in the 19th Congressional District next year. Molinaro kicked off his campaign Tuesday at a public event at Kesicke Farm in Rhinebeck. The 45-year-old says he's looking forward to sharing his ideas with voters in the 19th District which covers portions of several Capital Region counties including Columbia, Greene, Schoharie, and Rensselaer. The seat hasn't been held by a Republican since Delgado beat former Congressman John Faso in 2018.
