The New York State Department of Transportation has issued a travel advisory for Capital Region drivers due to a weekend construction project.
DOT officials say starting at 6:00 pm Friday, the ramps from U.S. Route 9 to eastbound Interstate 90 in Albany County will be closed until 3:00 am Monday. The shutdown is needed so crews can safely continue working on a bridge repair project in that area. Detours are going to be posted in the area to help drivers get to their destinations.
