A convicted western New York child killer who was just 13 when he murdered his four year old victim, is being paroled. In August of 1993 13 year old Eric Smith lured four year old Derrick Robie into the woods in the Steuben County town of Savona. There he brutally attacked and killed the boy. Smith, now 41, was sentenced to 9 years to life in prison. He's served 27 years and is scheduled to be released on November 17th. The case received national attention due to its brutality and the age of both the killer and victim.
