Troy police have released the name of the man who was hit and killed by a truck.
Officials say 43-year-old William Sousis Junior was jaywalking on Tuesday night when he was struck in the area of Hoosick Street and 13th Street. First responders rushed Sousa to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. The driver who hit Sousa stayed at the scene and police say there's no reason to suspect that person was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
