The state Department of Health has given the green light to family members to visit loved ones in nursing homes whenever they want to, and regardless of their vaccination status.
Nursing home owners across the state say visitation restrictions laid out at the beginning of the pandemic were having a negative impact on the mental and physical health of their residents. They applauded the move by the Department of Health. 94 % of all nursing home workers statewide are COVID vaccinated.
