Starting Friday, police statewide will be keeping an extra close eye out for dangerous drivers as the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign.

Drivers can expect to see increased patrols through January 1st as police look to reduce the number of alcohol and drug-related traffic accidents. During the 2020 holiday season campaign, more than 70,000 tickets were issued for vehicle and traffic law violations like speeding and impaired driving. Police are asking everyone to make sure they have a safe ride home by choosing a designated driver or planning to use a ride-sharing service.
