Investigation Continues in Cause of Mechanicville Fire That Left Man Dead

The investigation continues into what started a house fire in Mechanicville that left a man dead.

Officials say the blaze happened Wednesday night at a residence on Round Lake Avenue. When crews got to the scene, they found 67-year-old David Richards unconscious inside the home. He was taken to Samaritan Hospital but pronounced dead shortly after arriving. No one else was in the house and no other injuries were reported.
