Thursday marks one month since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, and Governor Hochul has ordered the Ukrainian flag to be raised in solidarity with the people of that country.
The flag will be flown Thursday at the Executive Mansion, Capitol building and the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services headquarters. The governor is urging communities across the state to also fly the flag at municipal buildings. In a statement, the governor once again condemned the violence being carried out against Ukrainians by Russian President Vladimir Putin and said her prayers are with those who have been affected.
