It's going to be a busy day for state lawmakers as they finish up their last scheduled day of this year's legislative session.

On Wednesday, the state Senate passed the Clean Slate Act which would seal the criminal records of New Yorkers three years after they were sentenced for misdemeanors and seven years after they were sentenced for felonies. Meanwhile, a proposed amendment that would enshrine abortion rights and gender equality is still being negotiated. The legislature is expected to pass a package of bills aimed at toughening the state's gun laws before the session ends.
