Shane Latza is the President & Business Analyst at Maple Tree Funding in Latham, NY & Queensbury, NY, a New York State Registered Mortgage Broker that has been serving the Capital Region since 2003. Their focus is on home purchase & home refinance. Being able to have one main focus has given them the opportunity to become experts in their field, while also creating great relationships with numerous lenders to get the best opportunities for their clients.
In an industry that is always changing, education is a key component to their business. There are a lot of myths in this industry, such as needing 20% down on a home or having to have a W2 job. Shane says that's not the case & his team focuses on knowing & understanding the different guidelines to find the best option for their client to become a homeowner. While some potential homebuyers might go to a bank for a home loan, get denied & give up, Maple Tree Funding has the knowledge to find a way to get them into the correct program based on their strengths. On top of that, if it's determined a client is not yet financially ready, Maple Tree Funding will take the time to help them get there, help them build their credit & more.
Maple Tree Funding has 10 employees, many who have longevity with the company. They find it important to give back to the community their team lives & works in & have sponsored various youth sports programs, area school programs, worked with the Regional Food Bank & more.
Shane resides in Saratoga Springs, NY with his wife Maureen & their Siberian Husky Timber. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute & spent 10 years in the Engineering & Business Development field before joining Maple Tree Funding in 2006, where he then became President & CEO in 2021. Shane is a member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers & the New York Association of Mortgage Brokers. Shane enjoys watching sports & researching new stocks & delving into the financials of the stock market.
