Troy Mayor Patrick Madden says that plans are moving forward to demolish the Knickerbacker Pool complex.
The pool has been closed for the past few years because of leaks and safety concerns and it is going to be replaced by a brand new pool in the future. Madden says bids to carry out the demolition project are currently being accepted and must be submitted to City Hall by 11:00 am on August 25th. The pool originally opened to the public back in 1955.
