Police are continuing to look into a man's death at Thompson's Lake in East Berne.
Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple says a 58-year-old man from Guyana who was visiting his family was swimming in the lake Thursday when he went underwater and didn't resurface. Dive teams were able to recover the man's body and it's unknown if he suffered a medical emergency. Sheriff Apple says a tragedy like this is an important reminder to everyone about the importance of wearing a personal flotation device when they're in the water.
