Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan is heading to Capitol Hill after coming out on top in a special election in the 19th Congressional District.
Ryan, a Democrat, defeated Republican and Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro and will finish the term of Antonio Delgado who stepped down earlier this year to become Lieutenant Governor. In the 20th District, Congressman Paul Tonko cruised to victory in his Democratic primary against Rostislav Rar. And in the 21st District, Democrat Matt Castelli is going to face Congresswoman Elise Stefanik in November after beating Matt Putorti.
